Jason Zhou

I am a GNC System Development Engineer on the Flight Control Systems team at Amazon Prime Air.

I did my MSAA with Professor Behçet Açikmeşe at the University of Washington, as part of the Autonomous Controls Lab. My research focused on full-stack innovation of UAS, from vehicle design to feedback control and trajectory planning algorithms. Previously, I graduated with distinction with a BASc from the Engineering Physics program at the University of British Columbia in 2023.

My internship experience includes:

• Steering firmware integration at Tesla
• Safe RL research under Professor Maryam Kamgarpour (UBC)
• Algorithm development for smart agriculture at Verdi
• Polymer MEMS ultrasound integration at Sonus Microsystems
• Instrumentation engineering at Precision NanoSystems (now Cytiva)
